Skydiving, Bunjee Jumping, no matter whats on your Bucket List, giving Nearly Skulls’ long awaited new album ‘Bucket Listing’ a listen should be instantly fast tracked to top priority.

We’ve all been dying to know more about the mysterious rockers ever since we first heard their 2020 single ‘Dots’ and learnt that all they would reveal was that they are based in Manchester and comprise of Andy (guitars/bass); Paul (vocals; guitar) and Dean (drums)…though who knows if these are even their real names.
Their recently released music video for the heavily political track ‘American Rules’ connected few dots as the group were presented as the rock and roll skulls that they have taken on as their personas. However, the beauty is in the mystery and their debut album ‘Bucket Listing’ keeps the excitement alive with 13 tracks of classic rock greatness for you to get stuck into.
With their age and appearance being unclear ‘Nearly Skulls’ prove that you don’t have to have a certain look or persona to create unmissable rock earworms, stripping it back simply to raw musical talent. Blending statement tracks with a heavier twist such as ‘American Rules’ and ‘Headphones’ into a lineup with the laid back acoustics of ‘Be Better’ and soft rock beats of ‘Move Along’ mean that this album holds something for everyone and a track for every mood.
Always keeping us on our toes, Nearly Skulls let the music do the talking and leave us in the dark when it comes to the identity of these masked magic-makers, but the delivery of a firm rock favourite that we just can’t stop listening to is more than enough to keep us happy. And who knows, maybe one day the mystery will come to light…
