Blackpool based four-piece Black Eddy are here with new single ‘Shower of Bullets’ and once again they always, truly, march to the beat of their own drum as they continue with their own unique brand of hard-rock.
Their upcoming album Home of the Mad and the Shameless is a rowdy, six-song release that travels the trajectory of the styles and sounds for which they’re known, incorporating morphing and evolutionary strides alongside elements that boldly reach outside regular rock music terrain. With that said, ‘Shower of Bullets’ is also noticeably more gritty and hard rocking.
‘Shower of Bullets’ proves that Black Eddy is as hungry and vibrant as ever. A trip-inducing, guitar-driven expansive space opens up, prior to the song’s focus upon a manic and lethal percussive and guitar assault.
The interesting paradox at hand is that the production aesthetic is sharp, progressive and clean, and yet the underlying, core music is definitely grimy and bleak.
