Tim Camrose has released his 12 track debut album ‘Half of My Life’ alongside the leading single ‘This Is Chicago’, bringing his stories to life. Available on all streaming platforms now, ‘Half My Life’ is instrumentally simply written, allowing Tims vocal performance to shine through and demonstrate who he is as a performer. If you are a fan of songwriters such as Ed Sheeran, Elton John or billy Joel, then this is the artist for you.

Knowing a songwriter’s history can help you understand their music better and allow you a sneak peek into the insight of their lyrics, creating a more intimate relationship between fans and artists. Understanding the story behind the songs from ‘Half of My Life is part of the beauty of listening to the album in full.

Tim Camrose has spent most of his working life following a very different route to music. Working within the field of medicine as a Consultant Surgeon and University Professor, Tim has taken inspiration from the people he has met and helped and dedicated certain songs to them which feature on the album. One song in particular which caught our eye was ‘Somewhere out there in The Dark’ which is written for the young, homeless patients Tim has treated throughout his career as a surgeon.

“’Somewhere out there in the dark’ is about these young homeless, who as the lyrics say, don’t want pity, just a chance to show what they can do.” – Tim Camrose

A thoughtful collection of stories and poetic lyrics, Half of My Life is an album that will remind you of classic, old-school songwriting where the message of the song is the most important part of the release.
