Post punk and indie music is experiencing a revival, with the debut of Blindness & Light’s self-titled album leading the way.

Boasting an 8-track offering, the artist merges vintage post-punk sound with modern, upbeat production sensibility. Working alongside former The Christians member Henry Priestman, Blindness & Light has released two singles from the album, The Old Skylight and The Ballad of Them and Us.

The two demos perfectly encapsulate the melancholic soundscape, with the help of Blindness & Light’s daughter Elise S. Potter on bass and local friends lending their talents to the projects. The Ballad of Them and Us features Henry Priestman on melodica and harmonica, with the Ynys Mon mix of the song featured on the album itself. Post-punk and indie collectors should be sure to put Blindness & Light’s self-titled album at the top of their list.

The album, which reflects the artist’s journey following a life-altering hit and run accident, has now been released on all digital platforms and is available on CD and limited run of 100 vinyl.

Physical copies are available on Bandcamp, Mudshark As well as the album, Blindness & Light is also working on a side project with Mike Juvenile (KEEF) called Radio Psychosis.

Their single Television will be released later this year. For those seeking to experience Joy Division, The Smiths and Radiohead with a modern spin, Blindness & Light’s self-titled album is a must-listen. Don’t miss out on one of the summer’s coolest and most inspirational releases. Get your hands on the album and merchandise when it hits digital platforms, CD, and vinyl.
