Founder and lead singer of Jed Potts & The Hillman Hunters, Jed pots is known for his unique vocal and quality live performances. Jed Potts & The Hillman Hunters have recently released their new album entitled Swashbucklin’ which is full of nine tracks that deliver the band’s true sound as each track has been originally written by Potts.
The nine-track album covers a mixture of talents, while all linked together by the upbeat tempo and distorted twelve-bar blues patterns. Jed Potts’ vocals shine across the album, with his unique accent and casual melody lines, the vocal adds character to each song.

With an interesting history in the music industry, Jed Potts is no stranger to travel and the recording lifestyle. In 2015 Jed took part in an Expo funded project for the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival which led to him being sent to the US alongside Blues ‘n’ Trouble guitarist Sandy Tweeddale. While in the US, the two musicians spent their days scouting for the best blues musicians to bring to Edinburgh. Forming string connections with the musicians he met in America, Jed traveled again to record Brandon Santini’s album ‘The Longshot’ alongside legendary engineer and producer Ben Elliott. The album ‘The Longshot’ went on to reach No. 7 on the Billboard Blues Chart.
Since starting the band Jed Potts & the Hillman Hunters, the band have received features across Blues Matters magazine and Blues in Britain, who reviewed the album quoting: “This sensational eponymous debut album from the Edinburgh based trio comprises 1950s and early 60s blues classics and original material confirming this young band’s growing reputation in Scotland and beyond.”
The new album ‘Swashbucklin’’ is composed of five recently released successful singles, alongside four new original tracks. Released on October 28th, Jed Potts & the Hillman Hunters album ‘ ‘Swashbucklin’’ is available to stream on all major platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.
