Dublin-based folk artist Galvo is set to release his highly-anticipated debut album, The HeARTist, on June 1st.
The 14-track indie-folk exploration is led by the exuberant lead single, ‘Getting Better’. This captivating song’s uplifting lyricism pairs beautifully with the swelling acoustic guitar and dynamic percussion, creating a musically triumphant yet emotionally nuanced soundscape.
The accompanying music video features a man with cursedly tiny hands as he deals with the struggle of his condition until he strikes a deal with a shaman who grants him monstrously large hands.
The HeARTist is truly a reflection of the unpredictable and remarkable life of Galvo, whose career has seen him work in a variety of different industries.

He co-led the band A Dark Horse (Hugh Rodgers and Niall Woods) and even served as a Knight of the Vale on HBO’s Game of Thrones. Galvo’s working-class Irish roots also offer a unique perspective reminiscent of artists like Elliott Smith, Billy Corgan and Sufjan Stevens, allowing his sound to stand out from the rest. The HeARTist has been released on all platforms and is definitely worth a listen.
