Mid Wales/Bristol-based alternative rock band Moletrap are set to release their electrifying new single, ‘Rhagofn’ (Welsh for “In Case of”) on Friday, 29th November.

Following the success of their previous track ‘Nation Of Sanctuary,’ Moletrap continues to captivate listeners with their blend of Welsh and English lyrics, exploring themes tied to the rugged beauty and rich history of Mid Wales. Their sound, described as “frenetic rock,” has earned them recognition on BBC Introducing in Wales and airplay on BBC 6 Music.

“They’re unignorably great. A thousand mosh pits beckon!”
— Adam Walton, BBC Radio Wales

“They’ve ruptured my eardrums, but in a positive way!”
— Amy Lamé, BBC 6 Music

About Moletrap

Comprised of three friends from rural villages in Mid Wales, Moletrap creates music inspired by the untamed landscapes of the Cambrian Mountains. Their debut album—partially funded by BBC Horizons—aims to break stereotypes of Mid Wales as a serene and quiet place, instead channeling its raw, natural power.

Rhagofn’: A Track with a Purpose

This single emphasizes how much progress remains to be made in society, blending soaring instrumentals with poignant lyrics. As part of an album that celebrates Wales’ inclusive history and its connection to nature, ‘Rhagofn’ is both a rallying cry and an ode to resilience.
