A new voice is emerging in the UK country and Americana scene as Devan prepares to release his debut single, “Wyatt Earp,” on 3rd April 2026. Hailing from March in Cambridgeshire, the singer-songwriter is stepping into the spotlight with a song that begins a deeply personal musical path. His roots, family life and local heritage all play a key role in shaping the artist he is becoming.
Devan’s arrival is unusual in that “Wyatt Earp” is his first-ever attempt at songwriting and recording. Having never previously written or recorded music, he is entering the industry through instinct, passion and a lifelong love of singing. In his own words, the song represents a new chapter and the start of something entirely his own.
His authenticity is central to the story behind the music. Raised in a close-knit, hardworking family with strong ties to the local area, Devan draws inspiration from real experiences and values such as resilience, identity, respect and family. These themes are expected to continue across future releases, including the upcoming track “Better Man,” which was inspired by the loss of his grandfather, whom he has described as his best friend.
Alongside music, Devan balances a busy life that includes carpentry, working with Sovereign Quarter Horses, playing rugby for March Bears RUFC, cold water swimming and a love of adventure. He has already performed at Rockin’ the Country and plans to launch his EP there later in the year. With “Wyatt Earp,” Devan is making an introduction that feels grounded, honest and full of potential.
