AIONOSA is preparing to introduce IRIS, an emotionally driven EP exploring growth, new beginnings and the possibility of finding meaning in unexpected change. Drawing on real human experiences, the three-piece group places perspective at the centre of a project that celebrates life without overlooking its difficulties.
Much of the EP’s inspiration comes from group leader Zilla’s reflections following the COVID-19 pandemic. That period encouraged a deeper appreciation for the present and for the ways difficult circumstances can reshape someone’s outlook. These experiences inform a project concerned not only with what people go through, but also with how they choose to carry those experiences forward.
Working alongside Jojo and Sagwa, Zilla brings those personal reflections into AIONOSA’s shared creative vision. The EP’s guiding philosophy, “turning disappointments into appointments,” suggests that setbacks can lead to unexpected opportunities. Rather than treating endings as final destinations, IRIS considers how they might create room for another chapter.
The project also champions curiosity, innocence and the value of ordinary moments in a rapidly changing world. For AIONOSA, beginning again does not require forgetting the past. IRIS instead invites listeners to recognise what their experiences have taught them while remaining open to whatever comes next.
