The Celtic Social Club, known for their innovative blend of Celtic music with modern rock and pop influences, marks their 10th anniversary with the release of a new compilation album, ‘Inventory’. Sponsored by Aztec Musique and distributed by Integral (Pias), this album serves as a retrospective of the band’s achievements over the past decade. It includes 20 tracks: 18 re-recordings of popular songs and two new originals, ‘Suddenly’ and ‘Far Away From Here’, showcasing the variety of genres they masterfully integrate.
The album’s lead single, ‘I Can’t Wait Anymore’, was released at the end of 2024. It features a gradual build from a soft bass and vocal introduction to a full, anti-balladic finale, utilizing the full talents of the band’s seven members. Their ability to merge Celtic folk inspirations with elements of rock and pop has garnered positive attention from media outlets like BBC Radio 2, The Times Culture Section, and Rolling Stone France.
In conjunction with the album release, The Celtic Social Club has scheduled a tour across key locations in the UK and Ireland. The tour kicks off on February 13, 2025, at Whelan’s in Dublin and includes performances at The Lexington in London on March 17, The Joiner in Southampton on March 19, The John Peel Centre in Stowmarket on March 20, and The Parish in Huddersfield on March 21.
This 10th Anniversary Tour provides an opportunity for audiences to experience The Celtic Social Club’s distinctive sound live. The tour aims to highlight the band’s unique ability to intertwine traditional and contemporary music styles, celebrating their sustained contribution to the music industry over the last decade.
